The STEAM your Dreams (SYD) Advisory Board has announced Akilah Stevens as its next Executive Director (ED) effective Friday, December 1, 2023. Roman Sudan Montagueo II, Founder and Executive Director of SYD will be transitioning his ED responsibilities to Ms. Stevens to allow him to focus on the growth and initiatives of the SYD’s strategic partner Creative Mindset Productions, LLC, and still reside as Founder of SYD. Roman has graciously served in the ED role for the past 5 years and through his leadership skills has built and developed the mission, vision, team, programs, and products that makes SYD impactful throughout the community. 

Akilah has over 20 years of experience in the Technology industry as a senior information technology (IT)  business leader with a proven track record of success in managing business transformation, IT audit compliance risks, strategy, and change management initiatives to drive efficiencies. She has served on the board of SYD’s for the past two years and has a strong passion for STEM and making a difference in her community. 

Akilah graduated from Hampton University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems.
